"Brooke and I are excited to be pastoring this amazing church. We are just getting started here, and our prayer is to cast a vision that inspires followers of Jesus to create refreshing church environments that people actually want to come to. If you are looking for a church home that is relevant, personable, loving, and not interested in 'playing church' but living out the mission of Jesus...then WaterEdge Church is the church for you. Come join us as we grow together in Christ."
Grace and Truth,
Ryan completed his Master of Divinity at Palm Beach Atlantic University (December 2017), where he also earned a BA in Biblical and Theological Studies (2015). Since beginning in ministry in 2012, Ryan has volunteered and worked in several churches in contexts ranging from inner cities to rural towns to suburban neighborhoods, directing children’s ministry, doing administrative work, participating in outreaches, and organizing volunteers.
In May 2016, he married his best friend Hannah. Ryan is passionate about helping people understand God’s Word and seeing how their lives are caught up in God’s big plan of redemption.
In 2017 Marilyn Engler returned from living in Uganda, Africa as she served with a non-profit organization as their Sponsorship Coordinator. Upon her return to the US, she married a wonderful man named Wyatt Engler. (You may have seen him play the drums at WaterEdge). After they were wed they moved from Oregon and Marilyn joined the WaterEdge staff as Wyatt finishes his degree at Keiser University here in West Palm Beach.
"I can't wait to grow my community here at WaterEdge, I know God has some amazing things in store!"
Shamarria Brooks (Goes by Marri) is super excited for what God is doing in this community and at WaterEdge Church. She was born in Orlando, FL and raised in Marietta, GA. Ministry has always been vitally important to her. Marri grew up in the church and was very involved in her church's outreach ministry. She attended a magnet school of the arts in high school where she majored in vocals and dance. Then she moved to Palm Beach, FL for college and ended up staying here because she felt like God had a plan for her here!
"I am continuing to grow and build as a new worship leader and I am excited to see where God is taking the church. I am even more excited to be apart of a growing and loving church family."
